Talking about the beaches in Kerala, we cannot miss the ever famous Varkala, where there is this stunning Kappil beach. Varkala is about 50 kms away from the city of Trivandrum and is usually famous for the beach called the Papanasam. However, the one we usually don’t hear people talking about is the Kappil beach because it still unexplored.

 The amazing thing about Kappil is that there is a road that seems to appear as if it is diving one single water body, however, it is actually waters of two different natures on either side of the road. The one at the west is the sea water of Arabian Sea and the one in the east is the Lake. They are called Kappil beach and Kappil Lake respectively.

The beach water flows in forms amazing back waters where boatmen and fishermen are seen doing their chores. It such a lovely sight to see various beautiful birds flying in and around the beach and lake area. The area is surrounded by tall coconut trees and the location is so picturesque that it gives a splendid opportunity for one to take great shots from the lenses.

 Some people like walking up to the beach from the Varkala town as the route allows you to explore of the place and thereby get to see some of the most pretty sights. Walking along the beach is such a pleasurable thing to do here, looking across the sea and the gentle waves that come by.
