Thekkady, an Experience into the Wild

Thekkady, located in Kerala, provides a great opportunity to view wild animals in the ephemeral forests along with some fascinating luxury resorts
. It is the most popular among all the wildlife sanctuary and offer incredible opportunity for wildlife enthusiasts to see various species of animals in their natural habitat. It is advisable to take the KTDC (Kerala Tourism Development Corporation) boat on the top floor or the Forest department boat again on the top floor, in order to great a clear view of the forest on the both side with the stunning flora and fauna during the monsoon.

While on the boat cruise, you’ll realize that the forest is dense, deciduous and evergreen and as you look into the forest you‘ll get an idea that the place is a real treat for trekkers. For if you are lucky, you may spot tigers, elephants, birds and langurs in the park.

While, on our cruise, we spotted tortoise on the banks of the lake, wild boars grazing on the green fields and deer, drinking water from the lake. You may also get lucky and spot a pack of elephants taking a bath on the lake. As the sun sets, the skies are filled with dark clouds and it starts to drizzle and the cool breeze will make you fall in love with the existence.

The spell-bounding resort also provides Kerala ayurveda spa and one should not miss it even if it is expensive. The ayurveda massage is worth the cost as it is one the most rejuvenating experiences of life.

The real experience of enjoying a holiday is about feeling at home away from home. Along with the pleasant hospitality and smiling faces, the resort also serves delicious Kerala cuisines such as the rasams, payasam, and a variety of dosas, tasty sambhar and mendu vadas to choose from.
